The extension, announced by athletic director Matt Larsen on Monday, runs until January 2021. Klieman, 47, took over as NDSUs head coach last January after serving as an assistant coach on the programs three previous national title winners, and he led the Bison to a 15-1 record, a fourth straight Missouri Valley Football Conference championship and the unprecedented fourth straight FCS title.
