ARLINGTON, Texas - After Philip Rivers and Peyton Manning torched their defence, the Dallas Cowboys get no respite. Up next are Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner from Baylor returns to Texas after embarrassing Dallas with a huge second quarter to win his first NFL game in his home state last Thanksgiving. Coverage begins with Football Night in America, tonight at 7pm et/4pm pt on TSN. Kickoff follows at 8:15pm et/5:15pm pt. Dallas defenders are at a low point again because Tony Romos franchise-record 506 yards passing and five touchdowns werent enough in a 51-48 loss to Manning and Denver last weekend. "Weve got a sense of pride in this group," Dallas defensive tackle Jason Hatcher said. "I know Im hurting because Im part of this defence. One thing weve got to do, weve got to clean it up. We got another good quarterback coming in here." The Redskins go into Sunday nights game at the $1.2 billion home of the Cowboys with similar problems. Theyre last in the NFL in passing defence, one spot behind Dallas. But Washington is coming off a win over Oakland and a bye after starting the season 0-3, while the Cowboys are trying to avoid their first three-game losing streak since 2010. "Yeah, that was our goal — go into that last game before the bye week, get the win, allow that momentum to carry us the rest of the way throughout the season," said Griffin, who threw for more than 300 yards in all three losses. "I think everybody has the right mindset coming back rejuvenated, ready to go." Griffin and Alfred Morris combined to give Washington its first sweep of Dallas since 2005 last year. Griffin completed all eight passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-point second quarter, and the Redskins held on for a 38-31 win on Thanksgiving. In the finale with the NFC East title on the line, Morris rushed for a career-high 200 yards and three scores in a 28-18 victory. That put the Redskins in the playoffs for the first time in five years and extended Dallas post-season drought to three years. But now Griffin is less of a dual threat while he continues his recovery from knee surgery, and Morris isnt getting the same number of carries because the Redskins fell behind in all three losses. "Theyre best when they hand him the ball," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said of Morris. "Hes a good football player and they want to run the football. And we have to be prepared to stop him because a lot of what they do comes off his success running the football." Here are five things to know as the Redskins go for their first three-game winning streak against the Cowboys since 1988: ROUGH WEEK FOR ROMO: Hes getting beaten up again for another late-game mistake that spoiled an otherwise sublime day. This time it was Danny Trevathans interception at the Dallas 24 in the final two minutes, leading to Denvers winning field as time expired. "He played his butt off," Hatcher said. "We didnt give them a chance to win. So its on the defence." NICKNAME DEBATE: The Redskins are playing their first game since President Barack Obama joined others in saying the team should consider changing its nickname over concerns that its offensive to Native Americans. And this week, owner Daniel Snyder renewed his support of the name in a letter to season ticket-holders. "You dont want to minimize anything thats going on outside of these walls, but inside these walls we have to focus on football and thats what our goal has to be," Griffin said. BEVY OF RECEIVERS: Dallas rookie Terrance Williams had a career-high 151 yards with Miles Austin out for a second straight game with a hamstring problem. It appears Austin will be back, which means Romo has six guys who have made big plays in the passing game this year. Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Gavin Escobar and Cole Beasley are the others. "Theres no other way to put it," said Bryant, who has six touchdowns. "We are explosive. Thats our identity: our explosive offence." BACK FROM SUSPENSION: Defensive end Jarvis Jenkins and linebacker Rob Jackson will play their first games for the Redskins since their four-game suspensions ended last week. Jenkins tested positive for a banned performance enhancing substance, while Jackson was suspended under the NFLs drug policy. Both said their violations were unintentional. QB PRESSURE: These teams are trending in opposite directions with the pass rush. The Cowboys had just one sack total against Rivers and Manning after getting 13 the first three games. The Redskins had a season-high seven against the Raiders, just the second time theyve had that many since 2010. ___ Online: AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org ___ Follow Schuyler Dixon on Twitter at https://twitter.com/apschuylerDiamondbacks Jerseys 2019 . Now that you have approved all the recommendations, you can see the whole picture of this puzzle. ... It was a very important day for the IOC and the Olympic movement. The IOC abolished the cap of 28 sports for the Summer Games to move to an events-based system that would allow new competitions to come in, while keeping to about 10,500 athletes and 310 medal events.Host cities will also be allowed to propose the inclusion of one or more additional events for their games. The new rules clear the way for Tokyo organizers to request that baseball and softball be included in the 2020 Games. Both sports, dropped after the 2008 Beijing Games, are highly popular in Japan.Today, there is excitement circulating around the baseball and softball world and there is great hope that our athletes will now have a real opportunity ... to play for their country, aiming to win an Olympic gold medal, said Riccardo Fraccari, president of the World Baseball Softball Confederation.Other sports like squash and karate are also hopeful of joining the Tokyo program. In addition, new disciplines and events within existing sports could also be considered. Some events may need to be dropped to make room for new ones. This is a major breakthrough, senior Canadian member Dick Pound said. We were at a dead-end situation with 28 sports. This provides the flexibility we need. The new bidding process, meanwhile, is aimed at making the system cheaaper and more flexible to attract future candidates — including the option of holding events outside the host city or country.ddddddddddddThe votes came at a time when many countries have been scared off by the costs of hosting the Olympics, including the reported $51 billion associated with the Sochi Games. Several cities withdrew from the bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympics, leaving only Beijing and Almaty, Kazakhstan, in the running. The new system makes the process more of an invitation and allows prospective candidates to discuss their plans in advance with the IOC to tailor games to their own needs — and keep them affordable. In the most radical change, cities will be allowed to hold events outside the host city or country. This opens the door to joint bids by cities, neighbouring countries or regions.IOC vice-president John Coates said holding events outside the host country would only be considered in exceptional circumstances. He said the idea would have to be raised in the early phase of bidding and would need approval from the IOC executive board. The compactness of the bid is always important, Coates said. But the compactness of the games has to be weighed up with the cost benefit of being able to use existing venues rather than build new venues. The IOC backed the launch of a digital channel — possibly as early as next year — to promote Olympic sports between the games and engage with young viewers. The channel will feature material from the IOCs archives, transmit some international sports competitions and offer a promotional platform for bid cities. This is really a historical step, Bach said. The IOC said the channel — to be run by the Madrid-based Olympic Broadcasting Services — will cost $600 million to operate over the first seven years, with the goal of breaking even in the first decade. The new Principle 6 clause says the Olympics should be free of discrimination of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. This is a pivotal moment for equality in sport, said Andre Banks, executive director and co-founder of internal gay rights group All Out.___Follow Stephen Wilson on Twitter: http://twitter.com/stevewilsonap ' ' '
